Denis J. Puska, owner
Company owner Denis J. Puska will celebrate his 40th anniversary in broadcast-journalism this year. His career was started at the age of 14 filing sports reports with a local radio station and newspaper. Denis called his first hockey game on the radio at the age of 14. Since then, he has broadcasted thousands of hockey games all over Canada, United States and around the world. Denis has called over 700 professional and junior hockey games in the state of Texas including 14 years in Amarillo.
Denis has worked with seven different hockey teams (Amarillo Rattlers, Amarillo Gorillas, Huntsville Havoc, Pensacola Ice Pilots, Flint Generals, Dayton Gems and Amarillo Bulls) in various roles including Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting, Account Executive, Group Sales just to name a few. He has also helped launch three different hockey teams — the Amarillo Gorillas, Flint Generals, Dayton Gems, Amarillo Bulls from the ground level.
From 2000 to 2019, Denis lived in the United States working in Pensacola, FL; Flint, MI, Cleveland, OH; Amarillo, TX; Huntsville, AL; and Dayton, OH.
In the spring of 2018, Denis J. Puska took time away from Puska Media Services to deal wth personal issues including the death of his wife of nearly 20 years Mary Ann.
In the summer of 2019, Denis’s life went full circle. He was given an opportunity to return to his hometown of Kapuskasing, Ontario in Canada to become morning host and news reporter with Moose FM-CKAP Radio, a division of Vista Radio. It’s the same radio station Denis cut his teeth with 40 years ago.
Denis lives in Kapuskasing in the house that he grew up in with his mom, two dogs Missy and Grace. He has a girlfriend Jessica, who lives in Schumacher Ontario and sees on a regular basis.

This website is dedicated to my late wife Mary Ann Bedard-Puska. She was a constant in my life for nearly 20 years pushing me to dream, work hard and believe in myself. She was the visionary to Puska Media Services nearly 12 years including our name. Her strong business background helped many businesses succeed over the years including several hockey teams in Amarillo, TX and Flint, MI.
Mary Ann had a gentle soul, and loved talking and meeting new people. Her personality was infectious and made you feel special every time you got to see her.
Her strong deep belief in faith, love of family and friends is what we will all remember.
Thank you for letting me dream again and believe in what i can do.
