Join host Denis J. Puska for an inside look at the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Playoffs and speaks with coaches Marc Alain Begin of the Hearst Lumberjacks and Darryl Moxam of the Greater Sudbury Cubs. The Coaches talk about their seasons and their respective first round opponents.

SEASON TWO EPISODE 10:
Join host Denis J. Puska as he spends time with Kapuskasing native and former Knoxville Ice Bears goaltender Bryan Hince who was recently inducted into the Ice Bears pillars of honour. We talk about his career and his life after hockey growing the sport in the state of Tennessee known for basketball and football. â€‹

SEASON TWO EPISODE 9:
Host Denis J. Puska has a special look at the history of the Hearst Lumberkings organization that is celebrating 75 years. It includes an interview with hockey historian Al Jansson as well as longtime hockey player Yves Brunelle. There will also be excerpts of a ceremony put on by the Hearst Lumberjacks of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League recently courtesy of Flo Hockey.

SEASON TWO EPISODE 8:
Host Denis J . Puska spends time with some members of the Kapuskasing Flyers to discuss the club's recent trip to the James Bay Coast to Moosonee and Moose Factory. The Flyers went along with the Timmins Majors to teach hockey clinics, learn more about the way of life up north and to play two Great North U18 Hockey League games. Guests are Head Coach Alex Plamondon, players Theo Bourdon-Lemoyne, Fynn Manttari and Nico Lessard
SEASON TWO EPISODE 7:

Host Denis J. Puska is interviewed by long time northeastern Ontario broadcast journalist Bob McIntyre to discuss some of Puska's hockey memories from his first hockey broadcast at the age of 14, to bus rides and various experiences in minor pro hockey and junior hockey in the southern United States. Puska has been calling hockey games for over 40 years including over 700 games in Texas. This is part I of a two part series.

EPISODE #6  

Host Denis J. Puska spends time with Joe Dominey who will be one of 25 amateur cyclists taking part in The Tour 21 -and the grueling challenge of riding the full Tour de France route, one week ahead of the professionals in June of this year (2025). The team will follow the same route as the professionals and raise over one million dollars for Cure Leukemia, the officla charity partner of the Tour de France. 

 

EPISODE #5

Join host Denis J. Puska as he spends time with Mylene Coloumbe-Gratton the owner and operator of Follow Her North a Tourism business based in Hearst Ontario. Follow her North offer summer and winter tourism including snowmobile trips to the James Bay Coast. Mylene is a young business person who has taken her tourism business to another level. In the interview, she shares her passion of what she does and how she got started. There is also at an update on the Elliot Lake Arena issue and how reopening plans have been delayed again.

Host Denis J. Puska spends time with Robert Morris University Head Coach Derek Schooley to get his reaction to the NCAA announcing that Canadian Hockey League players will now be eligible to play at US Universities where they were not allowed previously. The new ruling could change the hockey landscape in the future.

Noah Tegelaar - Goaltender with the Collingwood Blues of the Ontario Junior Hockey League and formerly with the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Tegelaar is on the NHL's Central Scouting Watching List. 

 

Brant Romaniuk - Forward with the Gatineau Olympique of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and formerly of the Timmins Rock of the NOJHL. Romaniuk discusses the transition to major junior hockey and into the french culture.

Plus we have a look at the changes to the Divisions and overtime format in the NOJHL and how it is affecting the standings.

Maxime Boudreault - From Kapuskasing Ontario, Maxime is a competitor in professional Strongman and has created the business Strongman Corp. He will discuss how he got into the sport and being from a small northern community of Kapuskasing.

Plus a new feature debuts called "What We're Watching.

Matt Darby - The owner and creator of SpeedSilks joins us to talk more about his business that creates uniforms for jockeys in horseracing.

There is also a tribute to the hosts Mom who passed away in May of 2024.

Adam Boucher - Scotty and Devo Charity Hockey Tournament.

 Kyle Thaller is looking at putting rowing machines in South Sudan to foster growth, unity and hopefully have a rowing team in the Summer Olympics. Adam Bouher talks about why he set the tournament in memory of a friend another friend who died of drug overdose and mental health issues.

Bobby Ray - Curling Canada

Bobby Ray discusses the sport of curling from the grassroots level. Where it is now, does TV and fan exposure translate into more fans. How do we continue growing the sport in the smaller communities and helping out the smaller clubs.

Robert Mazzuca discusses about the recent changes in junior hockey where several teams from the Alberta Junior Hockey League left for the independent BCHL. What this means for junior A hockey and what lies ahead.
